  2. I was introduced to colored pencils in 2004 or 2005. Started with Prismacolors and still use them for the most part. I have tried other brands in the yrs since then. I like Luminance and Colorsoft. Thinking of adding some pastel pencils into my CP work as well.

  5. I took a class in botanical art about a year and a half ago. My mother has been using them in her work for 10 years. When I went to visit her in Tucson in 2011, she spent a good part of the week teaching me her techniques and encouraging me. I love the medium!!

  8. I've been using colored pencils as a serious medium since 2009. Been in love ever since! I think that the wide variety of colors and the ability to blend them together is what really draws me to them.

  9. I grudgingly attended a charcoal drawing class with a friend prroximately three years ago. I never like drawing, pe se, but my friend thought it would be fun. Long story short, the friend dropped, but I continued attending to the end. On the final day of class, the instructor gave a presentation on colored pencils and I was hooked!
