PRO/ADVANCED WINNER: Antonio Sanchez

WHY IT WON:

I think anyone who saw this entry come in was amazed by not only your skill, but the extreme creative license you took with this art challenge photo!
There were so many elements that makes this great it’s hard to know where to begin. Let me start with the basic rendering of the photo – I know it was not easy to capture the translucence of the petal with the sunlight shining through but you managed to do it perfectly. The additional details that you brought just pushed this over the top...the cracked plaster, fallen petals and texture of the frame to name just a few. The more the viewer looks the more little surprises they will find. We are so honored to have you participate and know you are inspiring us all!

STUDENT/BEGINNER WINNER: Andrea Snuggs

WHY IT WON:

This piece just gives off the most beautiful feeling of tranquility. We loved the unexpected color choices for your bokeh and the details in the petals were excellent. Using many different shade of green in your grass helped to differentiate each blade. I think many of the artists who chose to do this challenge were surprised at how difficult these three flowers were, and we felt you did a great job. Thank you for your hard work!
