PRO/ADVANCED - Jan Shilling

Why it won:

Such a pleasure to view this entry, the details are stunning, it looks as though you could reach out and grab a pencil or the hyper-realistic sharpener sitting on the pad of paper.
We loved the variations of shades used in the spotted notebook, it really makes you believe you could feel the texture you created!  The wires on your notebooks really popped out at us and shadows were beautifully done for the whole piece. Thank you for your entry and congratulations on your win!

 BEGINNER/STUDENT WINNER -Janet Ray

Why it won:

We love that you took on the whole challenge and made it your own, the little additions such as the eraser and sticky note were great!
Everything seemed sharp and easy view, not something easily accomplished with this many things going on in close proximity. We really liked how you handled rendering the spotted notebook and metals, such as the spiral wired notebooks and on the paintbrushes, as well as the light and shadows. The only area that we would have liked to see you work on was the cup –perhaps you could burnish it or build up more layers, overall great entry!
