WHY IT WON: We couldn’t believe how real this image looks. The beak is outstanding as is the three dimensional quality, you can really feel the slight distance from the head to the tail feathers. We know how difficult those feathers can be and you executed them beautifully with a depth and softness that makes them truly believable. We also had to note the areas around the eye and how you successfully captured those fine details that we know must have taken a lot of time. Bravo!

BEGINNER WINNER - Silvana Vargas

WHY IT WON: Although a bit on the light side, we were impressed with the rendering skills used to really make this a stand out piece. The beak was especially well done and the subtle shift in tone in the background helps to pull out all the details of the feathers. We also noted the subtle reflections on the neck and face that really add a warmth to this beautiful white peacock.

JUNIOR WINNER - Krisha Bajaj, age 11

WHY IT WON: This peacock is just radiant! We love all the details you put in this one and how you took your time with each feather. You did such a great job making the body stand out from the tail features with your white tone variations. Nice work on the reflection, too. I would love to see you add a little blue in that eye to really give him some life. Keep going, you are doing awesome!
