 WHY IT WON: 

What a wonderful composition! The most outstanding part of this piece is the way you handled the ceramic, the highlights and reflections really allows the viewer to understand what this surface is and what it would feel like to touch it. You met the challenge of the candle with a beautiful glow and really improved the image from the original photograph. We can’t stop looking at all the detail that you put into the patterns and how well you executed the curvature of each piece. An honor to have you participate!

WHY IT WON:  

Such a stand out piece with your creative additional of the sunflowers. The yellows and oranges compliment the blues perfectly! We love the overall use of the photo and felt you were spot-on with your interpretation of the individual pieces, they lay wonderfully on the surface and the additional colors on the table gives it an extra dimension. The technique you used on the leaves really worked great as well. The only critique is the small vase – I think it got a little muddy and could use additional highlights to really make it pop out. Thank you for this gorgeous submission!
