ADVANCED WINNER - Nadia Carre

WHY IT WON: There is a special 3D quality that you were able to capture, especially
seen in the puppy and bunny feet area. That is remarkable. These stuffed animals all have a unique texture and tone that you were able
to successfully convey. One critique would be the background, I think it would
have worked better to have made the lines more uniform but we also understand
that you were being true to the photo reference which was a sheet instead of
wallpaper.
BEGINNER WINNER - Yasmin Melean
WHY IT WON: Everything about this is charming. We appreciate how you took it upon yourself to add creative elements and personalize this piece while staying true to the original photo reference.

Lots of textures and patterns add a lot of interest to the viewer while not
distracting from the subject matter. The characters are well rendered and
believably enthralled in the book and you can imagine them turning the page! One
critique would be that the anatomy of the bear seems off a little on his right
leg and that is a bit distracting as he does not sit as well as the others.
JUNIOR WINNER - Elisia Evanjeline (12 yrs)

WHY IT WON: What a wonderful job you have done and to take on the entire picture is commendable! The proportions are perfect and gives a nice sense of weight to the stuffed animals. We especially like the highlighting that you did and the wallpaper provides the perfect backdrop for these characters. The use of multiple colors in the wood and fur works nicely – just keep working on your textures to take it to the next level!
