ADVANCED WINNER - Yasmin Melean
WHY IT WON: This month was painful, with so many great submissions we had to choose an additional honorable mention, but it was unanimous that this was the stand out for us. The expression of the Jenny is soft and gentle, and the way that you rendered the different types of fur allows the viewer to actually feel the difference in texture. The background is a great bright contrast and allows the donkeys to stand out. The bokeh is lovely and you can see the sunlight sparkling through the trees. Wonderful job!

WHY IT WON: Oh so charming! The best part of this art is actually the background, it is so real and was very tough for many artists to get right. We love the addition of your native bird, but it is the lovely softness that you conveyed in donkeys that won us over.

WHY IT WON: This bright and cheerful piece grabbed out attention right away! We love the composition of both donkeys poking their heads into the frame. Nice work on the fur and the Jenny’s eye is wonderfully expressive. Keep drawing and growing as an artist – you have amazing potential!
